Inspiration from 1st Lady CS Ward



Haiti was the first country in the Western Hemisphere to gain its freedom (1804), but for 200 years it has wallowed in poverty (the worst in the Western Hemisphere). It was pummeled by 4 hurricanes and now a devastating earthquake which wiped out what little they had. People everywhere is asking God "Why?"

I believe that it is not our position to ask God why but I don't think He would be upset if we did ask questions whether about Haiti or about situations that we find ourself in at various times in our lives. Abraham, Job and David all questioned God as some point of thier walk. I believe that God welcomes our questions, however we are not to be angry if we don't get that answer at the time that we ask. Our submitted hearts must be in a position of TRUSTING HIM through every storm, test, trial, and situation.

God gives beauty for ashes and so beauty will come out of the Haiti disaster but it will be a process of time, just as miracle testimonies came out of the Katrina tragedy in Louisiana (like the expanded ministry of Bishop Paul and Pastor Debra Morton, Pastor Greg Davis with Rejoice in the Word at the Word Network and so many others). In all the devastation, there will always be a remnant and from the loss of life, those that remain in Christ will know 'life' and life more abundantly.

We, as well, must continue to endure our 'beauty' for 'ashes' process and in the process of time, God will prove that HE IS GOD AND BESIDE HIM, THERE IS NO OTHER. He loves us more that we could ever imagine and His plan is to prosper us and give us an expected end of VICTORY!!!!!

The Shirley Caesar network is another part of your extended family in the Body of Christ. Different places, different faces, different stages, different races! Always remember and never forget that JESUS is LORD, the devil is defeated and together, we make the difference!
